EC will hold nationwide by-elections to fill vacant Electoral areas and units. This comes after Assembly and Unit Committee members resigned or passed away, creating vacancies in accordance with the Local Governance Act, 2016 (Act 936), as amended by Act 940.
The Commission announced that the nomination process will begin on Monday, October 6, and conclude on Thursday, October 16, 2025, in a press release that was signed by Mrs. Jean Mensa, the Chairperson.
The Electoral Commission offers free nomination forms that can be downloaded from their website (www.ec.gov.gh/forms) or picked up at the District Offices.
